AODD Pumps
Teryair AODD pumps are available in aluminium, stainless steel, polypropylene (PP), and other materials depending on the sub-range. Diaphragm and wetted part materials include PTFE, Hytrel, Santoprene, and Buna-N, depending on fluid and chemical compatibility requirements.
Yes. The TeryChem range is specifically configured for aggressive chemical service. Material selection — particularly for diaphragms, seats, and balls — determines suitability. Contact Teryair with your
fluid’s chemical composition for a material compatibility recommendation.
Yes. Teryair AODD pumps can run dry without causing damage to the diaphragms or internals. This is a key advantage over centrifugal and electrically driven pumps in batch or intermittent processes.
Yes. As positive displacement pumps, they are self-priming — they do not require manual filling before start-up, which reduces downtime and operator intervention.
Teryair holds a US Patent for its Non-Stall Valve design in AODD pumps. The TC110J Tank Jet System is ATEX certified. Manufacturing is conducted under ISO 9001:2015 (SGS). Specific sub-ranges carry
additional certifications relevant to their target industries.
Yes. The reciprocating diaphragm design handles slurries, sludge, and abrasive fluids that would damage centrifugal or gear pumps. Ball check valves allow passage of small solids depending on pump size.
Yes. The TerySan range is designed for sanitary applications, using materials and surface finishes that meet hygiene standards. These pumps can be cleaned in place (CIP) or sterilised in place (SIP) depending on configuration.
Air Motors
The VM series spans six models from 1VM to 16VM, covering outputs from 0.45 HP (0.35 kW) up to 9.5 HP (7.1 kW). This gives machine designers a wide range to choose from within a single, consistent product family.
Standard lubricated motors operate between 1.4 and 7 bar (20–100 PSI). Lube-free motors run at a maximum of 5.6 bar and should be run approximately 15% slower than their lubricated equivalents.
Yes. All Teryair VM series air motors are ATEX and IECEx certified by default, with Ex codes II 2 GD Ex h IIC T6 Gb (smaller models) and II 2 GD Ex h IIC T4 Gb (larger models). They are also CE marked under the EU Machinery Safety Directive (2006/42/EC) and manufactured under ISO 9001:2015 certified by SGS.
Unlike electric motors, Teryair air motors can be loaded all the way to stall without sustaining damage. When the load is removed, the motor resumes operation immediately. This makes them ideal for torque-sensitive applications like mixing, valve actuation, and winching.
Yes. Lube-free variants are available across the VM range. These motors use a special hard, friction-free, corrosion-resistant coating and exhaust no oil mist — making them suitable for food processing, pharmaceutical, and other clean-environment applications.
Yes. All VM series motors can be ordered in stainless steel construction, suitable for hygiene-critical applications requiring frequent cleaning or sterilisation. SS + lube-free combinations are also available.
Yes. All VM series motors are available in clockwise, anticlockwise, or fully reversible configurations. Direction can be changed instantly by switching the air supply port.
Yes. The VG series offers gear-type air motors with gear ratios of 9.5:1 and 15.8:1, suitable for low-speed, high-torque applications. Standard flange mounting is available to fit third-party gearboxes.
Yes. Every Teryair air motor is tested on a dynamometer rig that measures stall torque, dynamic running torque, temperature under load, and air consumption. A Certificate of Quality with recorded test parameters is included with each unit.
Key inputs are required torque, required speed, and available air supply (pressure and flow rate in CFM or m³/hr). A useful reference point: each 1 HP of compressor motor generates approximately 3–4 CFM at 90 PSI. Contact Teryair’s technical team with your application details for a selection recommendation.
